As a former Texan, (I lived in Dallas for 7 wonderful years) it was a no-brainer to select Austin, Texas “ATX” as my bachelorette destination-of-choice! Also, a lot of my bridesmaids still live in Texas, so I figured I would make it easier for them since our wedding is all the way in Orange County, California. If you are thinking of Austin for your bachelorette, or brainstorming ideas in general, here are some details on where we stayed, what we wore, what we did and how we survived the weekend. Enjoy!

WHERE TO STAY: VRBO
Vrbo is the ONLY way to go, especially if you have a large group! We stayed within walking distance of Rainey Street and our house easily slept the 13 of us. We each had our own bed and there were plenty of bathrooms to primp and get ready throughout the weekend! Check out another adorable Austin house HERE!
DECORATIONS: THE BALLOON BAR
Since the house was already beautiful with modern furniture and artwork we didn’t need a lot of decorations. I reached out to The Balloon Bar, a unique balloon brand located in Austin, that specializes in “Creating unforgettable memories out of thin air.” Their balloons are SO FUN and since they are local – THEY DELIVER! No set up, no mess, no blowing up the balloons yourself! Check them out here!
ATTIRE: STAG AND HEN
My Maid of Honor designed matching *Bride Tribe* tanks for everyone (easiest way to spot a bachelorette group: matching outfits!) It was so fun to go all out and match with the girls! I surprised them with these adorable “Gettin’ Hitched Party Bandanas” by Stag and Hen in different colors. They were the PERFECT touch to our ATX weekend. Mine was white (obvi) but the best part: it had “Bride” embroidered on it!
HOW WE SURVIVED: HANGOVER KITS & SUJA JUICE
I was OBSESSED with these custom hangover kits by Honeybee Gifts! This brand was so much fun to work with and I had complete freedom with the design process! We decided to go with something that matched our girly bachelorette invitations – Gold “Cheers Y’all!” and a pink Texas with a star over Austin.
We also have SUJA JUICE to thank for our recovery and staying hydrated all weekend! They sent us delicious wellness shots (our favorites were ‘Energy’ and ‘Digestion’) yummy juice mixers and kombucha!
ITINERARY: FRIDAY & SATURDAY
Now the part you are all waiting for – What did we do all weekend?? I am so thankful for best friends that researched the most amazing places (and most “instagramable” locations) for our special weekend. I was beyond thrilled and honestly had the most fun I have had on a bachelorette!!
FRIDAY:
Wine tasting at The Austin Winery – This was the best place for everyone to mingle and get to know each other all while tasting amazing wine (I had friends and relatives from all different stages of life so it was so fun to see everyone blend!) The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions. We had a great time!
Sunset / Golden Hour drinks at P6 rooftop – This view was STUNNING, especially at golden hour! (In case you didn’t know, I have a thing for golden hour rooftops… ha!) This is actually one of the newest rooftops in Austin, located at the Line Hotel and the perfect stop before dinner.
Food Trucks & Rainey Street – When in Austin… you MUST visit the food trucks! We also went out on Rainey Street to the Container Bar but it was SO CROWDED, I don’t recommend going there with a large group but I’m sure every place will be just as crowded on a Friday night!
SATURDAY:
Brunch at Café No Sé – Located in the South Congress Hotel. I recommend getting the “Rosé Pour Over” drink, it’s actually a popsicle with fruit and rosé literally “poured over” it. (Cute, right??) Plenty of room for a large group but make sure you have a reservation!
I Love You So Much Mural at Jo’s Coffee South Congress – Um, HELLO! Of COURSE we had to get photos here! I have been to Austin SO MANY times and have never seen this wall in person! It was walking distance from brunch, and such a fun area to explore! An absolute MUST on your Austin Bucket List.
Kendra Scott Flagship Store – I LOVE Kendra Scott jewelry and have always wanted to visit their impressive flagship store in Austin! Lucky for us, this was located right across the street from Café No Sé! I coordinated with their team beforehand to surprise my girls; when we arrived they had the outdoor patio reserved for us, along with a sign that had my name and wedding hashtag! What a sweet touch! The store has a cafe with baked goodies and drinks, seriously such a fun stop for a bachelorette party! They offer hosted groups a 15% discount and your own personal shopper. I even found my wedding day earrings– Such a fun memory!
Bungalow – This was my favorite spot! Giant Jenga, a slide, live music, AND they are dog friendly so there were puppies everywhere! I could have stayed here the whole weekend!! We ran into another bachelorette party (we are EVERYWHERE) and took a photo with the matching bride! BONUS: This is where you can find the infamous “I hate you so much” mural!
Dinner at Grizzelda’s – They offer patio seating and I was a little worried we might be hot since it’s Texas in July, but honestly we were very comfortable with the fans and it was a little cooler out later in the day! Great dinner spot!
Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar – THIS PLACE WAS SO FUN. $12 Cover but so worth it – We stayed here the whole night! Technically this is on “Dirty 6th” which has kind of a bad rep, but we had a blast requesting songs and singing along to the majorly talented pianists and other musicians. Seriously a MUST for bachelorette parties.
Well there you have it! My fun bachelorette guide in a clean, single blog post. Let me know if you have been to Austin, to any of these spots, if you are planning an upcoming bachelorette, or any other thoughts!
Until next time, XOXO
